Presentation Matters

If you're selling a collection of things, remember that a photo of nicely arranged objects is more appealing than a pile of stuff. A collection of coy dolls, for example, lends itself to a lovely line-up. A pile of golf clubs is better shot laid out in a neat line rather than jumbled in a bag.

Leave some breathing room between your objects, and, whatever you do, don’t use direct flash to light them. The direct light and resulting harsh shadows will overwhelm the picture and may even obscure the objects with bright hot spots.

Instead, use the Lightscoop® to redirect your pop-up flash to the ceiling or a wall and create soft, even light — no hot spots or shadows from one object obstructing the view of the one next to it.

Will your pictures look as good as these? Why not? This and the rest of the images on our site were taken by real people using their Lightscoops in real situations.
