“The light was so low in the room that I couldn't have taken this shot without the Lightscoop® or (a lot more) expensive external flash. I honestly can't tell that the built-in flash was used at all.”

Seeing & Believing
Dimly lit interiors automatically trigger most cameras' pop-up flash units and, unfortunately, the cold, ugly light that comes with them.
The camera is right, you do need more light. But you never need more ugly light, do you? One of the biggest complaints from family photojournalists: "My pictures don't look anything like what I saw." Your convenient little pop-up flash is the culprit because its direct, harsh light creates hot spots and dark shadows that exist only in your photographs, not in the real world.
Get the most of your DSLR by making the most of your pop-up flash. Slip a Lightscoop® on your camera to redirect and broaden the light from your pop-up flash. The light bounced from a ceiling, or even a wall, will capture the scene the way you are really seeing it. Cozy!
Will your pictures look as good as this? Why not? It and the rest of the images on our site were taken by real people using their Lightscoops in real situations.
