Pop Up Flash + Lightscoop
|
When light comes directly from the built-in flash on your Canon, Nikon or Pentax SLR, subjects near the camera receive more light than those farther away. Your camera tells its built-in flash to stop putting out light once its automatic meter “sees” a properly exposed subject. That’s why flash pictures usually produce scenes where the backgrounds are so dark —unlike anything your eye sees.
|
|
With Professor Kobré’s Lightscoop in place, the light leaves the flash, bounces off the Lightscoop’s reflective surface upward or outward to a ceiling or wall — spreading out even farther before it reaches the scene below.
So even though your subjects may be at different distances from the lens and flash, they are approximately equidistant from the broad surface of the ceiling. Thus, light rays bounced from the ceiling now cover a large enough area to evenly light most subjects in a room.
|
Professor Kobré’s Lightscoop™ changes the
direction of the tiny light coming from the
pop
up flash in your Nikon, Pentax or Canon camera.
- The bounced light creates an effectively larger
light source.
- The larger source sends out light from a more
natural direction.
- The auto function of your pop up flash continues
to operate
normally, so the flash properly
exposes the picture.
IMPORTANT: Set up your camera as directed.
